| 2. | PARISHIONERS 10 MINUTES: · PC Mills outlined new divisions consisting of four ‘hubs ‘of policing, but giving the same level of cover for parishes. The new 101 number for non-emergency contact links to the Trowbridge ‘hub’ with 3-4 response officers for the Devizes area. PC W Leat is on maternity leave. · G Scope has been working with Claire Parry and has suggested that Bromham should be listed as a vegetable growing area, being valued agricultural land , by applying to the EU for Protected Status to protect and secure this land for the future. Helping to illuminate a repeat of the Sand Quarry proposals. The PC expressed an interest in taking this forward. GS to keep RH informed. · C Culley is the newly appointed Good Neighbour co-ordinator at Community First-information for the over 60’s i.e. transport, keeping warm, carer, nail cutting services, Bobby Van etc. Willing to visit local over 60’s clubs. · M Paget queried the lack of response from LB following correspondence with WC REF:1641 20/06/11, concerning the siting of a mirror on Bankside to aid the safe exit by vehicles from Bayntun Close. LB to follow up. These mirrors do not have Highways consent, and concerns of who is liable if an accident was caused by the erection of a mirror. It was agreed that the exit from Bayntun Close can be dangerous due to lack of visibility and traffic speed. · B Gabbott offered his services to give defibrillator and first aid training (1 hour package) to those interested 8-12/session. Sand Extraction: GS gave an update stating that C18 has been dropped from the plan, although Wiltshire will be short of the 1.8million tonnes at only 1.2 million. GS has been approached to lobby the Government with Claire Perry’s support to change the democratic system concerning Grade 2 agricultural land. GS thanked the Council for all their support and hoped the PC will continue to support this further if required in the future. The Chairman thanked the Committee for all their commitment, dedication and expert presentations to have the proposals removed from the plan. | |

Wiltshire Rural Housing Association has expressed an interest in any future housing development in the village. | |
