The future of the Twinning Association and hosting was discussed –ways forward and involve Rowde? PRO PP SEC AB INGRANDES: The Wednesday Club who were made very welcome in Ingrandes during their charity ride from Barcelona to Bromham, raised £17,000.00. JG to send letter of congrats. Future thought given to the date –try and coincide with another event i.e. football match? More advertising. Many thanks to helpers and for the donation of all the puddings. Due to the Queens Jubilee in June, it was suggested trying in September. | |

| 3. | Ingrandes/Avoca Avoca: sad news – Peter Moore one of the founders of the twinning with Ireland, passed away. Condolences sent. Ingrandes: It appears that St Nicholas have not been successful in forging links with the schools in Ingrandes, even following visits from the Head Teacher Mr Bacon and his family and another teacher with her family. St Nicholas has now seeking to set up links with other schools. Wednesday Club: the Bromham cyclists were welcomed during their recent charity ride from Barcelona to Bromham, they were entertained and accommodation supplied in the local hotel. Future links: Gerrard/ Mayor Dillion? | |

Repairs to the Thomas Moore Memorial have been discussed by the Church Council. DP to contact J Drew. INGRANDES: Following a successful visit this year, it is hoped that we will received visitors from Ingrandes in 2011. Letters of thanks have been received from Gerrard Duwell and Mayor Thierry Dillion. | |

(A Smith, B Reeves, Lawrences, Ingrid, Joan, Moya and The Powneys) J Giles Rosalind & Tom Humphries Jane Argue Peter & Anne Paget Arthur & Jenny Blackman Travel arrangements after discussing various options it was decided to go by ferry overnight with cabins from Portsmouth to St. Malo, returning by the same route. P Paget has agreed to drive (7) also J Giles (5) if luggage can be accommodated. The cost per person would be approximate £100.00 plus fuel for the two vehicles. | | VISIT TO INGRANDES: correspondence received from Gerrard with news from Ingrandes and the Twinning website details. Due to circumstances they are also trying to recruit new members. It is hoped to develop exchanges from children with Bromham School. We have been invited to Ingrandes September (9th – 14th to be confirmed) Numbers and transport arrangements need to be confirmed. RH provided some details of travelling by ferry from and to different ports, but transport will also be required, depending on numbers own vehicles could be an option? It was agreed to continue with the Committee still committed and interested in continuing links with Ingrandes. | |
