It is my great pleasure as Chairman of Bromham Parish Council to welcome you all to this web site.
Here in Bromham we have always been proud of our achievements and today more than ever we strive to retain our ‘village-ness’, making it a thriving, living village!
We are lucky to have the A342 running past acting as a natural bypass for the majority of us in the Parish. We are also far enough from the Capital not to be in the ‘commuter belt’; consequently we are able to retain the village much as it has been for the last 150 years; but this does not mean we stick our heads in the sand, oh no, we embrace modern ideas and inventions, and produce some of our own!
Over 480 people are employed full-time in the village, which help us to retain our Village Shop, Post Office and most importantly our charming St Nicholas C of E (VC) Primary School. We also have 25 different organisations from Toddler’s Clubs and Youth Club to Senior Citizen’s Clubs, including recreation and Sports Clubs, something for everyone!
Continuity is the secret to any Community and Bromham has retained old families and traditions. New comers are always welcome and we pride ourselves in our hospitality and friendliness. There is room for all!
In this ever-changing World we look forward to new challenges and new ideas, but at the same time we are anxious to retain our rural way of life. We have a pride in our surroundings and knowledge that we are doing our best to retain our village environment, whilst maintaining a wonderful community spirit, making Bromham a wonderful place to live.
