ACTION UPDATE FROM MINUTES:

Parish Website: RH meeting with BA on 12.12.06, website now running, BA to contact local organisations.

Parish Booklet: confirmation of cost for printing 1000 copies on going.

Cemetery inspection: KDC not providing this service-contracting out, information given.  Gates: quotes for repairs on going.

Millennium Cross: Inspection report and claim form sent to Allianz.

Inspections: All parish property should be inspected weekly! Mrs Brown to continue to inspect Play areas/fields. Councillors to inspect property in their area weekly and report defects/records etc. to the Clerk. 

New lights for Chantry and High Street: on going+ report light out at 42 Yard Lane.

Cemetery Tap: on going.

Twinning Signs: on going.

Stoney Lane/Rectory Corner Trees: Still ongoing.  WCC

Pound Traffic Calming: WCC P Harris?

Conifers New Road: removed.

Highfield Bus Shelters: Site agreed by residents and now has been installed. Incorrect spelling of Crescent!

Notice Boards: Quotation confirmed with M J Wilcox – on going.

Caravans – Wyatt’s Lake: no replies received to KDC correspondence. Enforcement order to be served.

Calor Village of the Year Competition: to be notified of visit in February.  Entry on Parish Website.

ALLOTMENTS: nothing to report.

 

6.

PLAY AREA REPORT: Refuse left at the Pound

Tiles are in need of attention due to age etc, alternative safety surface to be considered.

FOOTPATH QUOTATIONS: on going.

DOMESTIC TILES and Meat: left at the Pound P/area. RA

ANNUAL INSPECTION: Report and Risk Assess. Not yet received.

D FILLIS REPAIRS: Gate spring installed, bark replenished and emergency signs erected.

TWINNING AGM REPORT: well attended, membership fees increased to £3.00 or £5.00 per couple. Visit from Ingrandes planned for 2007.  DVDs now available.

 PC has ordered 50 for Welcome Packs @ £3.50. PRO JG SEC DD.

Now on sale at £6.00 for Parishioners etc. 

PP and DD visited Lack, Poland, and were made very welcome, possible future links?

Next Meeting 23rd January 2007.

TRANSPORT UPDATE: Problems with the start of the Melksham route, passengers left waiting, the Shuttle did not arrive. KM to query.

INTERNAL AUDIT REPORT: Carried out by GL and approved - everything in order.

FUTURE  SKIPS PROVISION: It was discussed and agreed that the PC will no longer provide community skips for the village.  Contents from these skips are not recycles but used for land fill.  It was felt that adequate facilities are now available for all items to be recycled locally. AIF.

Again the possibility of a plastic recycling skip to be located at the Social Centre was discussed.

PLANNING APPICATIONS:

C R King, 55 new Road, detached two storey dwelling with garage following demolition of existing shed and garage. NO OBJ. Comment: BPC support the applicant on this site. The site has been an eyesore to a very pretty part of our village for many years, and although outside the village envelope would enhance the area.  There is an existing building on this site in a much neglected condition. PC representative to attend.

R S Wainwright, Park Cottage, Chittoe, replace existing timber windows with double glazes timber windows.  NO OBJ.

NOTICE OF FULL PLANNING APPROVAL:

M P A Cray, 105 Netherstreet, first floor extension.

Mr Mrs T M Paget, 40 St Edith’s Marsh, change of use from agri. land  to garden.

NOTICE OF REFUSAL: Tarmac LTD: Saraha Sandpit, Sandridge Hill, installation of concrete batching plant.

·         Mr Neile, The Pound, ditch blocked.   Lengthmen cleared?

·         Stills Farm – pond overflowing. PP

·         Footpath @ Netherstreet – no bridge.  FP group to investigate.
