TRANSPORT UPDATE / END OF TRAIL PERIOD FOR MELKSHAM

It was agreed that the Melksham service will end at the end of July and has been advertised in the P/mag.

ROYAL VISIT JULY 17TH 2007: Final preparations in place for visit – Photo album ordered, video confirmed, flags ordered, bunting and banner to be erected, Jack Stephens booked, Carnival Committee to supply and erect gazebos, all organisations have been contacted, tree/planting organised. Calor to provide photographer. Table/chairs to be collected from the Social Centre –PC van and volunteers. MWF to provide 2 helpers. WC for use at the Church and GreyHound .  Car parking instruction leaflets to be delivered –JP JC.  E Brown and B Bullock to be invited.

PARISH BUSINESS:

·         JG reported on KDC Neighbourhood Watch/Terrorism Emergency Plan.

·         Light opp. 60 Yard lane is out.  JG  KDC.

·         Mr Farmer has again been in contact with JG.

·         Twinning: 10 French Visitors are coming to Bromham on Sept. 13th for 5 days.   15th September –Barn Dance  10th November Devizes Light Operatic Society Music Evening.  Bromham Quiz Sheets available.

·         KDC Refuse every two weeks collection queried. Concerns about future ‘fly tipping’.

·         Trees in Jubilee Field overgrowing onto New Road. PP

·         Report of Horses using and fouling Pound footpath.  New signs have been erected by BADRA on the Council Track.

·         Vandals left fencing slats and cans in the Church Yard Ext.

·         Syringe found in the SC play area.  JG reported.
