BROMHAM just about had the edge over visitors Marlborough Town in their Wiltshire League Premier Division game, running out winner 2-1 in a hard fought game.
The home side took the lead midway through the first half when the visitors’ goalkeeper misjudged the flight of the ball and from the ensuing scramble Jack Heard back-heeled the ball over the line.
Soon after the start of the second half the Town fought back to equalise, but not to be out done Bromham’s man-of-the-match Harry Hamblin scored the winner with a calm finish to give his side the points.
Bromham boss Ben Howe said: “It was an important three points for us. It keeps us in the top half of the table and the lads did well to beat a strong Marlborough outfit,”
