ACTION UPDATE FROM MINUTES:
· Pound/Highfield traffic calming WCC Meeting – area to be accessed. Junction highlighted as first course of action, extending curbs to slow traffic entering Highfield, extend white lines for better exit. If this is insufficient to resolve problems the second action would be yellow lines to restrict parking then if required the third action a possible calming scheme. RH has formally requested assessment as instructed by WCC representative.
· A342 Pavement Roughmoor to Rowde: PB discussed with Cabinet Member Letter + photos etc
· Roughmoor signs? Discussed with WCC representative for action.
· CLARENCE: Lack of response to JP’s reports
· Chantry/Church Hill Wall: letter to be sent to proprietor
· Boundary Review Consultation: currently at stage 4 The anticipated date for final recommendations to the Electoral Committee will be delayed due to further consultations and may slip for approx. two weeks now Nov 14th, but should not jeopardise the over all timetable for elections in 2009

CEMETERY MEMORIAL SAFETY CHECK REPORT / ACTION REQUIRED: programme of repairs on going by families etc.

THE CHANTRY LIGHT: cheque cashed but the light has not been installed!

ADOPTION OF RED KIOSKS: process complete for Hawkstreet and Netherstreet, notices issued/displayed that BT is no longer responsible for kiosks.

RENT REVIEW: Following a meeting with Crown Representatives from Carter Jonas, correspondence received with proposed rent increases over the next three years, this represented a 33% increase to £10,000 this being the first increase for 9 years. RH to query number of acres, the PC was not in agreement to increase and have offered to pay the suggested first year increase of £8333.00. PROBA SEC AB

PLAY AREA REPORT – PM/RH have met with play equipment providers and have obtained three quotations, a further quotation to be obtained from Record.

PLAY AREA: LANDFILL GRANT/SUB COMMITTEE REPORT.
RH/PM has applied for a Landfill grant of £9,000 a third of the estimated costs. A further grant may be possible from Awards for All.

PAVILION INSPECTION: PP reported that the showers require updating (Precept)

TWINNING COMMITTEE REPORT:
Successful meeting with Head Teachers in Ingrandes during ½ term.
The Cabaret Evening was a success. The AGM will be 10th December.

LISTED BUILDING CONSENT:
