BROMHAM V TROWBRIDGE WANDERERS 15.03.09
A super first half with sound passing, solid defending and quick reaction from Goal Keeper Ryan Simons saw Bromham take a lead of 3 to 0 by the break.
Trowbridge earned their first reply early in the 2nd half! A lucky goal that could have been avoided but for the unsuccessful frenzy in the goal mouth to clear.
Our Bromham lads lost shape and momentum on pitch for a while after the Trowbridge success on goal but they settled & were soon back in the game.
We are not always rewarded for out attempts on goal from corner kicks and have been working at training to vary our routine and create more chance.
Any chance of using our new routine was blocked with tight marking from Trowbridge but a super cross from Tom, who aimed directly outside the goal mouth was picked up by Joe K, who with quick thinking managed to deliver the ball to the back of the net.
Unfortunately frustration from the Trowbridge side lead to an amount of bad language and foul play which resulted in a yellow card for them.
Bromham domineered the majority of this game earning 5 goals to 1 at the final whistle.
Once again our lads have excelled themselves. well done you all!
we have now won 7 of 9 games played this season. 3 to go!!
Next week - Stanley Park v Chippenham Twn Whites.
