As reported by Manager Brett Weaving.
BROMHAM V WARMINSTER BLACK. 2 - 2
Bromham began their game verses Warminster Highbury Black very well with sound passing creating good chances on goal but were unlucky not to have scored through Ashley and new player Jaidon.
Goalkeeper Elliot denied Warminster Highbury chance of goals making several good saves throughout the first 20 minutes of play resulting in a clean sheet and 0-0 result at the break.
Bromham were very positive with their first half performance and could sense that they were going to score goals and could even win the game.
The second half started with Warminster dominating play causing problems for Bromham. Elliot was in fine form saving several direct shots at him.
Warminster took the lead with a direct strike that could not be prevented by Elliot.
Bromham kept battling and were rewarded with a goal after a cross was missed by the Warminster defence, finding the striking foot of Ashley.
The Bromham 9's gained momentum playing with confidence and belief in themselves
Bromham changed their tactics and went with Thomas as their only defender adding a further striker to assist the game.
This move began well but with a quick Warminster counter attack we found ourselves 2-1 down.
As always our Bromham squad kept their heads up and played to win. With seconds to go Bromham were awarded a corner ball which every player (including the GK) assisted.
It looked like our luck was out when the ball was played but cleared by Warminster. Bromham were quick to win possession back though and with a few tidy passes Ollie managed to squeeze the ball under the Warminster keeper earning the equalising goal.
A brilliant game which was enjoyed by our lads & played well by both sides being of equal ability!
Man of the Match was awarded to Thomas.
