Orchard Project/Plaque/Sponsorship: list of sponsor growing.

It was agreed that sponsorship will be £30.00 this will include a plaque.

 All 60 trees now planted.

Cost of stone £980 from local supplier.

M Freeman from Saraha Sand Quarry has agreed to donate and deliver a stone.

PP to get a brass plaque made for approx £180.00 AIF.

N Paget to fix the plaques to the trees and a dedication service will be arranged.

Teenagers/Youth Club:   2 representatives discussed possible teenager’s wish list.

Cost of inflatable football £210.00

TV for Wi games £120

Fish and chips for event on 6th June. £100

June 5th Children/Senior citizen lists-numbers/arrangements:

BM reported that volunteers have been arranged to help with food preparation for both the senior and children’s parties.

It was suggested that if the weather is wet, the senior citizen party could take place in the Skittle Alley so that the children’s party could then be organised in the hall.

Approx numbers: seniors 75 to date-  children cater for100

SD agreed to purchase patriotic plates and cups for the children’s party.

Hats, serviettes and table cloths already purchased.

Children’s mugs: PP @ RH to distribute at the school on 30th May. Remainder to sold @ £5.00 on June 5th.

Decoration of the Hall: Monday afternoon @ 1.00pm committee and helpers. RH gave apologies for this.

BBQ: DF has ordered from Stiles 100 burgers @ 40p + sausages @ £2.00/lb

KF to order bread rolls/sauce/serviettes etc.

Pig Roast and BBQ location: to the rear of the Social Centre with access through the fire doors. Stiles’ have agreed to donate the pig. Carnival BBQ with Owen cooking.

War Memorial Flowers: ED agreed to do.

Banner:  due to the cost involved to have the royal banner re-printed, a new banner was ordered @£175.20 DF to erect on the Social Centre roof.

Flag: To be flown from May 1st. 10extra flags ordered.

Beacon: This will be lit on Monday June 4th @ 10.35pm on the Church porch roof.

The Church bells will also be ringing with the lighting of the beacon+ June 5th AM

 

 

 

 

 

7.

Competition Prizes:  Children - boy and girl £5.00 each

Adults – male/female £10.00 each

Patriotic House -£25.00

 

 

8.

Music band on the Jubilee Field at 2.00pm.  It was agreed that a ‘sing song’ at the Pavilion would be more appropriate than walking around the field.
