An inquest has been opened into the death of an elderly woman who drowned in a lake in Bromham on May 25.
Shirley Brown, 92, whose home address was in Corsham but who had been staying in the village, was attended by emergency services after she was found in the water.
She was declared dead at the scene.
An inquest into her death was opened last Wednesday but was adjourned as the Wiltshire coroner is awaiting the results of further tests.
Emergency services were called to the lake at Clacker Brook Farm in Bromham shortly before 7pm on May 25. Wiltshire Air Ambulance was deployed but its services were not required.
Members of Mrs Brown’s family were too upset to comment.
