MONDAY CLUB NEWS
There were only two Mondays between the two Bank Holidays in May and June, and the second Monday in June was the day chosen by the Electricity Board to turn off the power in New Road which of course included the Social Centre. So reluctantly that Club day was cancelled, which means that there is very little to report this month, except for another Kurling match, and an afternoon of whist. When we reconvened on June 18th we were all glad to be back to normal, and having enjoyed our delicious roast chicken followed by rice pudding, our afternoon was spent listening to Scott’s soothing songs from the 40s, 50s and 60s.
Now we are back on course, and we hope to bring you news of more activities next month.
Just another reminder that we are holding our annual tea party and bring and buy on August 13th at 2pm; and a very early plug for our Autumn Fair which will be on October 13th this year, in the afternoon.
We still have room for more members if you could do with a bit of company each week. If you would like to come on a Monday at the Social Centre do give me a ring. We can provide transport if you live in Bromham or Rowde.
